Have The Best Photo Booth At Your Prom With These Tips
Photo booths are a fun way to capture memories at prom. They can be used for taking pictures with friends, having fun poses with your date, or just capturing a silly moment. Here are some tips to have the best photo booth at your prom:
Make sure the photo booth prints!
This way, you can keep your memories fresh after the Prom is over. Digital pictures are great but there is something special about the permanence of a printed photo booth strip that feels instantly nostalgic. Even long standing members of the PicMe team still have photo strips from events (and they have pictures taken every weekend!).

Choose the right photo booth for your needs.
There are many different types of photo booths, so make sure you choose the right one for your event. When choosing the right photo booth for your event, it’s important to consider what you want to achieve. Some popular options include the classic enclosed booth, or the super popular pod style booths with backdrops.
The pod booths (we call ours the solo range) are interactive photo booths that not only instantly print but let guests create and share digital copies from the booth to their phones instantly. Our Solo range is unstaffed so we can offer great value for a longer hire (typically 5 hours). Classic photo booths are also a great option for capturing a moment in private with smaller friendship groups. with the charm of pulling back a curtain and entering the booth!
Themed prints and props
All of our photo booths allow you to theme your experience from the prints to the props. So be sure to ask how you can personalise the experience.

Duration, duration, duration
Hire the booth for as long as you can, it may be a good idea to hire the photo booth for the duration of the night (budget allowing). Prom is a special night, and may be the last time you all gather together so you want to make sure that everyone has a great time taking pictures!
Decide on your budget
When choosing a photo booth, it’s important to keep in mind your budget. There are a variety of options available, from cheap and easy to high-end and expensive. It can be tempting to go for the most expensive booth, but stick to a realistic budget. Consider what you want your photo booth to do for your prom – Do you want it to be a fun way for guests to get pictures with friends, or do you want it to create classy studio style portraits (or both!)? Once you have a idea of what you want, start looking at photo booths that fall within your budget.
